Fast Rooster
Short description of the artwork
The armoured rider had one mission: reach tomorrow before morning did. His red rooster-machine sprinted across the blue plain while the rider counted every lost second like an enemy. Near dawn the rooster stopped. ‘Move!’ the rider shouted.
‘If we’re late, everything will go wrong.’ The rooster tucked one blazing wing beneath itself and sat. Far behind them, night softened; ahead, nothing existed yet. Morning rose around them without being caught or missed. The rider removed his helmet and discovered he could hear it: insects waking, metal cooling, his own breath returning.
They never reached tomorrow first. No one ever does. But when it arrived, they were finally there to meet it.
